Antique English Sterling Silver Topped Vanity Jar - 1905

Description

This beautiful English cut glass jar is topped with the most beautiful repousse decorated sterling silver lid. Amongst the intricate decoration is the English hallmark for the highly sought-after Chester assay office and the year 1905, Edwardian in era. The top of the slightly domed lid has a central vacant cartouche which could be personalised by your silversmith if desired.

The lid fits well and the hobnail cut glass is undamaged. All in excellent condition, measures 2 3/4" across widest part of jar x 2 1/2" tall.
