Atropos Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
A check on his life and times make very interesting reading. His love of entomology led him to travel extensively and this was one of his cabinets. His collection now resides in edinburgh at the national museum.

As one would expect, a cabinet of quality in excellent order and with only one previous owner. Thirty smooth running drawers on hidden bearer runners. Closely fitting glazed frame tops to all drawers, original lock and key and hidden bolts shuts to the doors. All original turned mahogany drawer knobs. This cabinet is ready to use for a mutlitude of collecting pursuits. We are very profficient in the re-papering of drawers if required, please ask when enquiring.
