Description

A large, stylish and elegant study of red cockscomb branches and flowers. Dating from the mid twentieth century, this original gouache painting on paper is monogrammed ("MM"?) at the lower right and dated 55. It bears an exhibition label on the verso, attributing it to Madame Moreau.

Measuring 64 x 48 cm at sight, the overall framed size including a quality a linen clad mount is 83 x 68 cm. The glass has been removed from the frame, which facilitates delivery ,and which any local glazier or framer should be able to replace within minutes.
