A charming little stipple engraved print of children playing in a fenced garden. Three girls and a little boy playing “Blind-Mans Buff”.
The boy blindfolded and reaching out while the girls avoid his grasp, one of them teasing him with a head of corn.
A bright and detailed impression printed in brown ink.
Engraved by Charles Knight after a painting by the English artist William Hamilton.
Within a fine period gilt gesso and wood decorated frame with beaded site edge and verre eglomise with corner floral detail.
Title verso.
A delightful and decorative late eighteenth century stipple engraving printed in Georgian London C.1786.
There maybe some reflections in the glass these are not faults.
Frame size approx: 9 ins. by. 11 ins. (23 cm. by 28 cm.)
