Description

A rare form of a MacIntyre egg scent bottle as this one has a silver birds head, unmarked.

A lovely item, all original.

There is a reg no on the base of the egg 20772 which is repeated around the edge of the birds head.

The top screws on perfectly.

There are no cracks, just some very slight “crazing” in one spot but simply on the surface and only visible under a glass.

I don’t know what type of egg it represents, but a truly super item.

Circa 1890 in date

Digby Antiques (Wiltshire) has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
