Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Interesting to speculate whether it may have travelled to the Battle of Waterloo????

The clock is in extremely nice order considering it is now 200 years old and has obviously been in careful ownership for it's lifetime. The case is ebonised with satinwood inlay to the front, sides and top with a gilt carrying handle.

The 8 day movement (signed "LEROI of PARIS") strikes the half-hour and the hours on a bell. It has an outside count wheel and silk suspension. It has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered staff and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.

The white enamelled dial (also signed "LEROI of PARIS") has black Roman numerals with nicely cut hands and a gilt cast bezel.
Complete with original winding key, (again a good sign of careful ownership).
A very special little clock.
All cards accepted.
