Description

A 19th century papier mache basket with a folding metal handle. A very charming and decorative item, typical of its Victorian origin. The ground is beautifully painted with roses, lily of the valley, forget me nots and violets surrounded by a gilt border.

The condition is generally good, there are two very small chips to the underside, these are not detrimental to the appeal of this pretty object.
