Description

A perfect equestrian addition for the horse lover, this large Victorian inkwell is impressive and beautiful quality. It's a substantial and heavy piece with the brass being cast nice and thick and standing on four ball feet; the inkstand is beautifully constructed with large solid brass screws.

The large cut crystal inkwell is in perfect condition with a deep square cut base. The cast brass top is in the form of a jockey's cap cast in a form to even emulate the creases that would appear in the real thing.

Dating to around 1890, a top-notch desk top accessory in excellent condition. The horse shoe measures 9 1/2" x 8 3/4" and the glass inkwell measures 3" square x 3 1/2" tall to top of cap.
