The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch measures 22mm wide excluding the winding crown and 35mm high excluding the lugs, it would suit a slimmer wrist. The case is rolled gold and it is signed inside the case back with the Helvetia name. The case has light surface marking but overall is in good condition. The case back has an inscription, ‘F J Gould, 1942, an appreciation of 20 years service, W Canning & Co Ltd’, a manufacturer of metal finishing products.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch has a new leather strap.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
