A Pair of Lacquered & Faux Bamboo Coffee Tables

1920 - 1940
Description

A very good pair of chinoiserie lacquered coffee tables Circa 1930. Price quoted is per table. Each with an inset glass top and standing on a faux bamboo legs joined by an attractive crinoline stretcher. The metal legs being gently tapered. Each table having beautiful contrasting lacquered chinoiserie landscapes. The wider table with amazing colours featuring pagoda's with seated scholars and warriors on horseback. The second table with a seascape includes fishing boats, trees and pagoda's. The table edges finished in a black lacquer with gilded lip. The borders decorated with pretty gilded flowers and petals. The tables are very good examples and would make a charming statement piece that would grace any modern or period interior.

The tables measure 102cm wide , 68cm deep, 42.5cm high, and

110.5cm wide, 55.5cm deep, 41.5cm high
