Description

Fine quality late 19th.c. marble top side cabinet c.1880. Original inverted breakfront marble top with a very slightly raised edge over a single drawer and a small cupboard below, lined in white marble. Rosewood veneers arranged in a quartered symmetrical pattern across the front and sides. Extensive brass mouldings and a carved leaf detail either side of the drawers. Raised on twin pairs of turned and fluted columns with brass mounts at the capitals and bases over an open shelf on moulded feet. Shelf and back panel veneered match, also with brass mouldings. Unfortunately there are old cracks to the marble top and cupboard lining. Otherwise good original condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
