Description

A particularly good set of four antique farmhouse kitchen chairs, having slat or lathe backs, solid elm seats, raised on four turned legs with straight ‘H’ stretcher supports. Please note: Table photographed not included – see listing M-1924.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear in places including some age-related marks to the seats (pictured). All chairs are solid and sturdy with good tight joints. Some evidence of old historic wood worm – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. One chair has a small shrinkage split to the front of the seat – this does not appear to affect the integrity of the chair. Attractive colour and patina.
