Stunning English Victorian Heart Shaped Box - 1898

Description

A wonderful example of an antique heart shaped trinket or ring box, with wonderful repousse decoration including around the sides.

The slightly domed lid has a central cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if desired.

The hinged lid fits well. The box is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1898, a true Victorian example; together with the makers mark HM for Henry Matthews.

Superb condition, measuring 2 1/8" x 2" x 1 1/8" tall.
