Description

A Silver Mounted Cut Glass Claret Jug.

The silver rim with a spout, covered by a hinged lid, opening with an open arcaded thumb grip, above the triangular rounded handle. The glass body with flute cut panels broadening to the jug with alternating panels of octagonal discs, between hobnail cut squares. The underside with a cut starburst.

The silver rim and lid hallmarked for Charles Bottom, London 1901.
