Fabulous Antique Brass Letter Scales Signed Mordan, London

Description

A wonderful set of scales made even more enticing by the fact they were made by the much sought-after Sampson Mordan of London and are signed "S. Mordan & Co. London".

The letter pan is engraved with the prices depending on the weight of the letter. The scale dates to around 1860, Victorian in era.

There are four weights which sit in a cradle at the front of the scale, ranging from 1/2oz to 4ozs.

Excellent condition with the base measuring 7" x 3 3/4" and standing 3 3/4" tall.
