Small Antique Oak and Fruitwood Box Settle

A small 19th century antique oak and fruitwood country settle or box settle bench with panel back, open arms, unusual plank seat with the planks sliding forward to reveal under seat storage, raised on short stile feet.

Height – 102cm / Width – 99cm / Depth – 50cm / Seat Height - 40cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In well-worn antique condition throughout with various signs of age and wear. General surface wear throughout including age-related marks to the seat and back rest. Extensive historic worm throughout – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Some honest historic repairs in places including a metal brace to the back (pictured) and strengthening to the arms. An attractive country settle bench of small proportions.
