A late 18th century/early 19th century rustic country oak settle bench with shaped sides, panelled back, and solid oak seat. Originally a high back country settle or tavern settle having been adapted/cut down to a bench at some point in time.

CONDITION REPORT:

In well-worn rustic antique condition throughout with various signs of age and wear. General surface wear throughout with many signs of age, use, wear. There are splits to the oak seat, although the bench maintains its strength and functionality. Evidence of extensive wood worm in various places (mostly the sides) – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Adapted from a high back settle at some point in time. Well-worn with lots of wear but has a certain rustic charm that would work in a variety of settings.
