Early 19th Century Welsh Oak Press Cupboard

An early 19th century Welsh oak press cupboard or linen cupboard having moulded cornice, two arched panel doors revealing a fitted central shelf and a shaped shelf resting near the top, flanked by decorative reeded columns to either side, an arrangement of two short over two long drawers, raised on simple block feet. Working lock and key for the cupboard door.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear throughout including some age-related marks to the front but overall, good. Structurally solid and sound. Evidence of old historic wood worm in various places – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Most of the drawers have had replacement ply linings. Separates into two parts for ease of transport.
