Description:
Antique English pewter plain rim deep plate by Yates, Birch & Spooner of Birmingham, England, who worked 1828-1839. The front rim is engraved with the initials ''CHL'' and the date 1845. The reverse of the plate has a clear touch mark along with a crowned X and a London label, there is also a clear set of hall marks. This plate has a particularly well hammered bouge.
Condition:
The plate is in good condition with an unpolished finish to the front, there are some knife marks to the front showing signs of use. The reverse is unpolished with light oxide.
Repairs: There are no repairs.
Size: 9.25 inch diameter (23.50cm).
