Description:
Antique English pewter plain rim plate by Christopher Banckes I of Bewdley, Worcestershire, England, who worked from about 1693-1746. The plate is very well marked to the reverse with a clear touch mark, along with a crowned X, a London label and a partial set of hall marks. There is also a marriage triad ''IMS''.
Condition:
The plate is in excellent condition with a fine light oxide finish to the front, there are some knife marks to the front showing signs of use. The reverse is also unpolished.
Repairs: There are no repairs.
Size: 9.75 inch diameter (24.80cm).
