Description

A delightful Edwardian mahogany glazed bijouterie table, with lock and key. It has four oblong glazed panels round the sides and a glazed panel top. It has an under tier/shelf attached to the cabriole legs by four wing shaped stretchers. The base of the display box is embellished with a strip of boxwood and mahogany vertical stripes inlay. The table top has satinwood crossbanding. There is also line inlay around the glass panel in the top and down the legs. The display shelf is newly covered in beige damask. All in all, this is a super-elegant display table, with the added bonus of a working lock and key. Dates to c1900.
