Antique Swiss silver pocket watch, 1924.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 48.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for London (import mark), 1924 with an importer’s mark for George Stockwell.

From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.

The case is in good condition with just the odd small mark.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The white enamel dial has a very faint hairline crack between 1 & 5 o'clock although not noticeable to the naked eye but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
