Description

A nice north indian kashmir rug with a central tree of life/floral design on an ivory ground. All the ivory/cream colour is silk,so it is 50% silk piled and 50% mohair velvety wool piled. Chestnut coloured main border,pretty rug.

Over 30 images of rug to peruse including in different settings.

All over even piled. Bottom end with selvedge,top end with a very minor fringe,all imaged and with conservators tape to each end.

Size is 5 foot 10 inches by 4 foot 1 inches. 180cm X 125cm. Selvedge not measured in size. 50% silk & 50% wool piled hand knotted onto cotton foundations.
