An exceptionally fine marquetry eight day striking Portico clock. The case is in an exceptionally good condition with no losses, splits or cracks and everything as it should be including the ormolu mounts. The movement has a Japy Freres stamp and is numbered 1350. Please note that this clocks has a lovely mellow bell striking the hours and is not just a timepiece This is one of the most decorative portico Clocks we have had for sometime and would grace any room in the finest of homes.
