This George I walnut chest on stand was made circa 1720.

It was made in 2 parts; the top section is fitted with 2 half width and 3 full width graduated drawers with the original brass handles. The base of the usual form with a box drawer each side of the attractive arched shaped apron, with a slim drawer above this.

The whole stands on elegant solid walnut cabriole legs.

It has had an interesting well-travelled life. In the last century it was taken to America where it was used in a Pennsylvanian family home and then it was brought back to England by an Anglo-Irish family before we were fortunately offered this. It has now been restored sympathetically and readied for its new life in your home.
