18th Century Welsh Oak Mule Chest

An antique 18th century Welsh oak mule chest or large coffer with hinged lid revealing a spacious interior including a candle box to the right-hand side, five panelled front above two fitted drawers each with decorative brass handles, raised on four stile feet.

Height – 91cm / Width – 127cm / Depth – 61cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In well-worn antique condition throughout with various signs of age and wear. Surface wear throughout along with losses to the hinged lid (pictured). The hinges have been changed (pictured). There are losses to the drawer fronts (pictured). Structurally solid and sound. Historic wood worm throughout – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Lots of wear and imperfections throughout but overall, okay.

Our carpenter inspects, repairs, and restores all our items, so you can have full confidence that what you buy from us is home ready!
