~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A very elegant cartel clock, Louis XVI in design with a handled urn and acanthus decoration. A large bow sits above the dial, and sound panels to the sides and front allow the delicate sound of the bell strike to be heard. It is finely made in gilded bronze which is in stunning condition.

The dial is also gilt bronze with 12 individual enamel cartouches, an engraved minute ring and is complete with its original blued steel hands. The bezel is fitted with convex beveled glass.

The French movement is by Samuel Marti and is of the makers usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click on the video to hear the bell and watch the clock running.

Condition of the case is excellent; the gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damaged. We have replaced the fabric behind the sound frets.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
