Edwardian Cylinder Roll Top Bureau Desk

A well-presented antique Edwardian bureau desk with cylinder roll top revealing a particularly good fitted interior consisting of various drawers and pigeon holes, the pull-out work top has an inset tooled leather writing surface. The base has an arrangement of five fitted drawers and a single blind panel cupboard to the right-hand side, raised on castors.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear in places but overall, particularly good. Some movement/looseness to the cylindrical roll top but this does not affect the functionality of the piece. No keys present but all drawers are unlocked. The roll top locks the drawers when in the down position. The leather writing surface remains in good condition with no major rips or tears. A good example of an antique cylinder top desk or bureau.
