Description

Lovely little 18th.c. oak coffer c.1760. Slimmer than many we see – just 17½” front to back – ideal for the end of a bed or hallway perhaps. Sturdy construction in solid oak throughout. Two panel lid and front with moulded rails and mullions and a scratch carved frieze along the top rail at the front. Attractive 19th.c. carving to the front panels. Useful storage inside with a small compartment to the left hand side. Panelled sides and rear, oak floorboards and later strap hinges. Good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
