Technical Description
 
As most of us know, dating period glass can be notoriously difficult with the vast majority unmarked and many later near copies. However, in this case, we have the unique registration mark dating the pair to the 19th Oct 1867 and made by Thomas Webb & Son.
 
Amphora in shape, they have their original hollow stoppers with a band of thin V cuts. Elegant long necks with a pair of claw handle''s attached at the base and a further matching band of thin V cuts. Attached circular feet with large polished pontils showing the registration marks.
