Antique Mahogany Leather Top Pedestal Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

A fantastic antique mahogany pedestal desk, with an inset leather top. This is in the Georgian style, and it dates from around the 1920’s.

The quality is outstanding, and there are beautiful flame mahogany veneers on the drawer fronts. All the drawers have fine dovetails, locks & original brass handles. The front of the desk has an inverted breakfront shape, with bow fronted pedestals and this sits on lovely splayed bracket feet.

We have had the top re-leathered, hand coloured and gold tooled. This has also been recently French polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.

This desk has a large working area on the top, the back is also panelled & polished, so it’s free standing.

Knee height – 24 inches , 61 cm
