An interesting if rather damaged pair of genre fishing scenes. The first featuring a cottage by a river with men fly fishing in a punt. The second featuring a couple fishing by a weir with billowing fish nets or traps. Each one is signed Boddington and dated 1877 or 1844. Sadly the pictures are in delicate condition with cracks and missing paint and tired canvas but remain a wonderful glimpse of pastoral life.
