Pair of Oak Armchairs with Lion Heads C.1890.

Description

Splendid pair of large late 19th.c. oak armchairs c.1890. Canework panel backrests topped with quality brass handles and carved with lion’s heads to the top of the rear stiles. Rounded arms with turned elements and a larger pair of carved lion’s heads at the terminals, each with a brass ring in its mouth. Over large padded seats freshly reupholstered in lion’s mask fabric. Raised on turned and block legs front and rear, joined with matching H stretchers for strength. Excellent colour and condition, the frames have been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
