Description

This well-made GEORGIAN COUNTRY OAK & ELM CHEST OF DRAWERS dates from circa 1830.

It was made in two parts to enable it to be easily carried up and down winding cottage staircases. The CHEST is very stable as it has been properly made with three tongue and groove joints to both sides where the top meets the base.

Both the OAK and ELM used are an attractive colour, the ends, particularly, displaying a rich grain.
