George II Ladder Back Chair

Description

A George II walnut ladder-back side chair, circa 1740, the shaped ladder-back with a moulded edge over a wide stuff-over seat and raised on leaf and scroll capped cabriole legs terminating in pad feet.

A very generously proportioned chair, typical of this period and with cabriole back legs. In sturdy condition, un-restored but with old repairs.
