Antique Omega Gun Metal Pocket Watch

This antique has been viewed 34 times in the past month with the most views from France.

Description

Antique Omega gun metal pocket watch.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, identified as an Omega, and it is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gun metal, an alloy of copper, tin and zinc which was originally used in gun manufacture but was later replaced by steel. The case has rose gold embellishments which really give it a lift, a very handsome piece.
The inside of the case back has the early Omega logo.
The glass lens is in lovely condition.
The dial looks very good to the naked eye. If viewed through a magnifying glass, there is a short very faint hairline between 3 and 4 o’clock. Original rose gold coloured hands to tie in with the case detailing.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
All of our prices include UK and worldwide postage. We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the blue 'Buy now with credit card or Paypal' button on each listing page.
Non-UK buyers are welcome but payment can be made by Paypal only.
Please note that we are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
Due to Customs regulations, we are unable to send watches / precious metals to certain countries. If your country prohibits the importation of watches / precious metals and you send through an order then any Paypal fees that we incur will be deducted from your refund. Please contact us if you are unsure and we can check the regulations for your country.
