Late Georgian mahogany writing bureau c.1800. Open the fall to reveal a good sized writing surface (plenty of room for a laptop) and original fitted interior of pigeon holes and six slim stationery drawers with oak linings and brass knobs. Over four long drawers of graduated depth below the desk. Solid mahogany top, fall and sides, note the particularly good grain on the front of the fall. Solid mahogany drawer fronts with moulded edges and original brass swan neck handles. Oak drawer linings. Raised on shaped bracket feet front and rear. Extensive previous repairs and restorations, nevertheless a good looking and very useful piece of furniture. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
