M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The deeply-sided ovoid body of ribbed form with profuse pale blue decoration to the inside and outside surfaces . The ends potted with integral shaped carrying handles of sea shell-type form .

The base stamped with the Mintons “Semi -China” transfer mark .
In excellent original condition with no breaks, damage or repairs. Some minor crazing to the glaze of the underside of the body of the basin or bath , commensurate with age , use and purpose.
A rare survivor in exceptional condition and decorated in an attractive pattern with a beautiful subtle blue hue .
