IWC Francois Borgel solid silver cased pocket watch.

The movement winds fully, sets, runs well and keeping very good time.
The silver case with import hallmarks for London 1909, makers mark F.B. for Francois Borgel, serial number 457698
On raising the spring loaded winding crown the movement unscrews from the case, good clean threadwork, the crown springs back perfectly when located, locking the movement into position.
The IWC calibre 63 movement marked PEERLESS under the balance, serial numbers 441320 , Swiss Patent No +31457 and S & Co with a crown for Stauffer, Son & Co. of La Chaux-de-Fonds.
Perfect convex beveled glass, enamel dial and blued steel hands, the hands are mixed styles but appear original.
The heavy silver case in good sound condition, minimal if any light dents, some scratching, bruising and nibbling to the knurled bezel.
Collectible antique watch, not shock or water proof, ideal for
... occasional use.
Runs for 30 hours keeping good time, not recently serviced.
Diameter 1,7/8'' or 49mm, weight 91 grams.
