Description

A charming early Victorian cream baluster shape cream jug hallmarked for London 1853 with makers mark for John Keith. The jug’s shape is reminiscent of early Georgian pieces with the baluster body, simple shaped rim, elegant double scrolled handle and three shell feet but is decorated in Victorian fashion with scrolls and garlands around the base. The hallmarks and weight are good and the jug is pretty and refined.
