A matching pair of George III era silver serving spoons with assayed hallmarks for London 1786 and the makers mark of Hester Bateman. Old English pattern. They both have a matching bright cut pattern on the shaft ending with a cartouche, which is vacant with no initials or crest. The bright cut pattern has been pleasingly softened with use. A really beautiful pair of spoons by a famous silversmith.

Both spoons have a good gauge (especially where the shaft meets the spoon, 2mm) . Really lovely.
