Description

A beautiful late Regency sarcophagus shape tea caddy with two compartments dating to c1830. The quarter veneered top carries a raised rosewood plinth and inset mother of pearl cartouche engraved with initials EA. Complete with original bun feet, escutcheon, lock (no key), and lids. As is typical remnants of the silver lining paper are found in the compartments and under the lids. A nicely made caddy with a lovely warm colour and in very good condition.
