A pleasing George III era mahogany side table with a lower shelf and set of drawers dating to c1800. The figured mahogany top has crossbanding at each side. The 3 drawers are veneered in flame mahogany and have the original brass concave knobs. The central drawer is a dummy. The table stands on elegant turned legs, and has a lower shelf, surrounded by a low upstand. The shelf curves inwards, suggesting the table had a dual purpose as a side table or writing desk. The colour and patina have warm and pleasing tones.

The condition is very good - only there’s a minor old crack in the lower shelf, not surprising given the age.

Very pretty piece of furniture with quite a bit of character.
