Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
They were made by Maples and have the original label underneath. They are of similar sizes and slightly different designs as you can see. One has a hidden tray slide that pull out from under the top, the other has a useful lower tier.
We have just recently had these French polished, they are in excellent condition for their age.
