~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
The dial is finely painted with a scene of a young couple seated by a river in a country setting. The side urns also show the couple walking in woodland, she cradles a small bird, symbolic of love.

The rear of the urns are profusely decorated with country garden flowers. The rear door of the clock is glazed to allow the movement to be seen. The set is complete with its original suite of gesso bases with blue velvet covered tops. The set displays beautifully from all sides.

The French movement is by Japy Frères and is of the makers usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a sonorous gong. Click the video to hear the bell and watch the clock running.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright. The are some small areas of tarnish and some marks. The ormolu of the urns has some slight wear. The porcelain is excellent with no damage. The bases are also in excellent condition, some slight rubbing to the corners and some slight marks to the blue velvet.
