A good pleasing George III era mahogany chest of drawers c1800. It has a figured mahogany and crossbanded top and figured mahogany drawers, which are oak lined. Original locks, escutcheons but probably later handles. It has outswept feet and and a shaped apron at base. It has the warm rich colour and patina typical of Georgian mahogany pieces of furniture. A useful not too large size, it is in very good condition for its age, no splits. A few marks on the top are visible but are consistent with age. This chest is elegant, has good proportions and has a very pleasing presence.
