Art Deco 9ct gold Rotary Maximus wrist watch, 1933.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it also has the Rotary winged wheel logo.

The watch measures 22mm wide excluding the winding crown and 33mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1933 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison of the Dennison Watch Case Company, the company supplied various watch makers with cases during the 20th Century. The case has some unevenness but overall acceptable for such an early piece.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish, there is some marking but again, very acceptable for a 1930s piece.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
