Description

An antique 19th century ash and elm smoker’s bow chair or captains desk chair with shaped top rail, out-swept arms with turned upright supports, solid elm seat, raised on four turned legs with double turned ‘H’ stretcher support.

DIMENSIONS:

Height – 81cm / Width – 67cm / Depth – 60cm / Seat Height – 46cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear throughout including some age-related marks and wear to the seat (pictured). There is a split to the front left of the seat (pictured), but this does not affect the stability. Structurally solid and sound with good tight joints. A good example of a smoker’s bow chair with pleasing colour and patina.

Our carpenter inspects, repairs, and restores all our items, so you can have full confidence that what you buy from us is home ready!
