Description

Late 19th.c. walnut open bookcase c.1880. Six foot long and of interesting Arts & Crafts influence design. Particularly well figured solid walnut top with a raised gallery of turned and ebonised spindles along the back edge and topped with ebonised ball finials. Also an unusual carved scalloped edge detail. Over an open bookcase fitted with four adjustable shelves (depth 10½"). Moulded stiles, rails and drawer fronts, solid walnut sides. The gallery and spindels are repeated around the base with the finials repeated as feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
