Antique George III Mahogany Bureau

A well-presented antique George III mahogany writing bureau with the fall front revealing a wonderful fitted interior consisting of various drawers and compartments all with decorative crossbanded inlay detail along with an inset leather writing surface, pull out supports for the fall front, an arrangement of two short over three long graduating drawers each with brass swan neck handles or drawer pulls, raised on four ogee bracket feet. A good solid Georgian bureau with a particularly pleasing interior.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear throughout including some age-related marks and wear to the top surface and the fall front (pictured), but overall, good. The fall front has some fading and a subtle mark to the left-hand side. Some honest repairs to the cock-beading in places and some historic repairs to the drawer fronts (pictured). No lock or key. Structurally solid and sound.
